Terms of use
Last updated 9 October 2026
StrandScribe is in early access. These terms say what you can expect from it and what we expect from you.
The service
StrandScribe turns a short video you share with it into a brief, searches for sources that back up or dispute what the video claims, and writes drafts from those sources. It is offered free of charge during early access, by invitation, and it may change, pause, or end. We will give notice where we reasonably can.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for what happens under it. You must be at least 16. Tell us at hi@strandscribe.com if you think someone else has used your account.
What you share and what you publish
Share only videos you are entitled to use this way, and connect only platform accounts that are yours.
Drafts are written by software from pages found on the web. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and a source rated as trustworthy is not proof that it is right. Read every draft before it goes out. You decide what is published under your name and you are responsible for it, including when you have turned on Autopilot to publish without reading first.
What you write and publish stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you.
Acceptable use
- Do not use StrandScribe to break the law, to harass or defame anyone, or to publish content you know to be false.
- Do not try to get around limits, read other people’s data, or disrupt the service.
- Do not use it to copy someone else’s work and present it as your own reporting.
Other services
Instagram, the platforms you post to, and the search, transcription, and writing services we rely on each have their own terms. Posting to a platform is done with the key you gave us and under your agreement with that platform.
No warranty, and limits
Early access is provided as it is, without promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from content you chose to publish.
Ending use
You can stop at any time and delete your account from your Profile page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.
Changes and contact
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date above changes and signed-in users are told. Questions: hi@strandscribe.com.
